Trenton NJ Roofing Contractor
Herts Roofing & Construction is a Trenton roofing contractor that knows row homes, flat rear roofs and older single-family houses. We repair leaks, replace flat and shingle roofs, seal the joints between attached homes, and install siding and decks. We're licensed, insured and rated 4.9 stars by 116 customers on Google. You get photos of the problem, a written price before any work starts, and a crew that cleans up.
Tell us what you need and we will set up a free inspection, take photos and give you a written price. No pressure and no obligation.
Much of Trenton is brick row homes built between the 1850s and the 1920s, usually with a pitched or mansard roof in front and a flat roof in back. Because they share walls, water often gets in where one roof meets the next. Heavy rain from Hurricanes Irene in 2011 and Ida in 2021 tends to find those joints first.
Herts Roofing & Construction understands Trenton row homes: a pitched or mansard front, a flat roof in back, and a shared joint with the neighbor on each side. We inspect all three, because that is where these houses leak. We replace flat rear roofs, reflash mansard dormers and seal party-wall joints properly, and we handle siding, porches and decks on single-family homes across the city. Book a free inspection.
In Mill Hill, Chambersburg and much of downtown, you'll see brick row homes and some mansard roofs with dormers. In Cadwalader Heights and the West Trenton area there are more single-family homes with steeper pitched roofs.
Rear roofs on row homes are often flat and patched many times. We tear off and install a real membrane system.
Mansard roofs are steep and detailed. Dormers and the transition to the flat top need careful flashing.
On attached homes, the joint with your neighbor's roof has to be sealed and flashed correctly or water finds its way in.
Full tear-off, deck repair, ice & water barrier, synthetic underlayment and Owens Corning shingles.
